On the 13th of November, the Investigative Committee of Belarus said that the deceased Roman Bondarenko was diagnosed with “alcohol intoxication.” Emergency hospital doctors and medical documents refute this information.

- Roman had zero ppm of alcohol, absolutely nothing was found, — one of the emergency hospital doctors commented to TUT.BY (news and media source).

On the 13th of November, the Investigative Committee of Belarus announced that they are investigating the death of Roman Bondarenko.

“The resident of Minsk was examined by the doctors, after that he was brought to the health care institution, where during the primary examination, along with bodily injuries, he was diagnosed with alcohol intoxication,” the Investigative Committee said in the official statement.

TUT.BY’s editorial office has a primary examination document prepared by the doctor in the hospital’s admission department. Along with a closed cranial brain injury, acute subdural hematomas, bruises, abrasions, the diagnosis says: “Alcohol intoxication and aspiration pneumonia” — Physician question both.

- “This is a preliminary diagnosis. The patient was admitted vomiting, now it is clear: this is from a hematoma in the head,” — the doctor explains. — “But at the initial examination and without doing any tests it’s hard to say. When a person enters a stupor or coma, it is difficult to say why he is in such a state. Either he was hit on the head or he got drunk and fell into a coma. That’s why alcohol intoxication is always questioned, this is a preliminary diagnosis. For now, we assume it is because no medical examinations have been done. And only after all the examinations and tests, an accurate diagnosis is stated. Roman had zero ethanol in his final diagnosis, no alcoholic intoxication.”

The editorial office of TUT.BY has the documents confirming the doctor’s words.

Just to remind you that a resident of the “The Square of Change” (that’s how they call a neighborhood in Minsk where a lot of protestors gather) Roman Bondarenko went outside the evening of November 11, when unknown people wearing masks came to remove white-red-white ribbons that were hanging on the fence.

And then a scrimmage began. Eyewitnesses say that Roman was heavily pushed away, he hit his head. Then he was taken away in a van. 1.30hrs later the beaten victim was taken to an emergency hospital with cerebral edema. He was operated on, the young man was in critical condition until Thursday evening. This evening he died.

That same evening to support the beaten Roman Bondarenko at the “The Square of Change” people gathered together in his memory. Until midnight for more than five hours, people drove from all over the city to the courtyard between Chervyakova Street and Smorgovsky tract (where the “The Square of Change” is) to show their support.
