Maria Kolesnikova, a member of the Presidium of the Coordination Council, did not cross the border of Ukraine, as she tore her passport when she was forced to cross the Belarus border. The agency “Interfax-Ukraine”(https://interfax.by/news/policy/raznoe/1282811/)found it out from informed sources.

“When she was attempted to deport, she tore her passport and could not be allowed to enter Ukraine’s territory by border guards,” said an interlocutor of the Interfax-Ukraine agency.

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko said that the departure of the Belarusian oppositionists Anton Rodnenkov and Ivan Kravtsov was ‘forced expulsion’ from the country.

“I would like to add that it was not a voluntary departure. It was a forced expulsion from the native country. Maria Kolesnikova could not be expelled from Belarus because this brave woman took action to prevent her from moving across the border. She remained on the territory of the Republic of Belarus”.
